Tame Impala’s Deadbeat Debuts at No. 4 on the Billboard 200

SZA, Cardi B, and Sabrina Carpenter also land spots in this week’s Top 10

Tame Impala’s latest studio album, Deadbeat, has made a strong entrance on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 4 with an impressive 70,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week.

The release marks Kevin Parker’s first full-length project in five years and continues his streak of high-charting albums. Of the total units, Deadbeat recorded 37,000 in pure album sales—securing the No. 2 position on the Top Album Sales chart—along with 33,000 streaming equivalent units generated from 41.72 million on-demand streams. The remaining units came from track-equivalent sales.

With this debut, Deadbeat becomes Tame Impala’s third Top 5 album on the Billboard 200, following Currents in 2015 and The Slow Rush in 2020, further cementing Parker’s place as one of the most influential figures in modern psychedelic and alternative music.

Elsewhere on the chart, Taylor Swift continues her reign at No. 1 for a third consecutive week with The Life of a Showgirl. The K-pop soundtrack Demon Hunters holds the No. 2 spot, while Morgan Wallen sits at No. 3. Sabrina Carpenter remains steady at No. 5, with Cardi B and Olivia Dean following at No. 6 and No. 7. Rounding out this week’s Top 10 are SZA, Morgan Wallen once again, and Alex Warren at positions eight through ten.
